About Us

Our school values community, student growth and active learning. We aim to create a supportive environment that recognizes effort, encourages curiosity and brings our students together. Below are a few ways we put these values into practice throughout the school year.

Tiger Cub Hall of Fame
Each month, teachers choose one student they'd like to recognize for their efforts or character. The student's nomination is read during the morning announcements and they get to take part in a special activity as a reward.

Reading Day
Once a month, students are invited to spend 15 minutes enjoying read-aloud stories from different staff members. It’s a great way to build a love for reading and experience new books together.

Science Day
Twice a month, Science Central visits Holland to present exciting science demonstrations. These hands-on experiences spark curiosity and make learning fun for all grade levels.

Math and Spell Bowl Teams
Students can challenge themselves academically by participating in our Math and Spell Bowl competitions. These teams promote teamwork, critical thinking and academic pride.

Morning Intramurals
Students in grades 3–5 can start their mornings with physical activity and teamwork through our morning intramurals program.

All-Day Dance Party
A favorite event where our students with severe and profound disabilities join with general education students for a full day of music, movement and fun. It’s all about inclusion and joy.

Adaptive Field Day
Designed specifically for our students with severe and profound disabilities, this event offers accessible and engaging activities that celebrate movement and teamwork.

Student Job Opportunities
We offer six volunteer job roles that give students a chance to build responsibility and leadership skills. Positions include:

  • Table Washer

  • Bird Feeder Caretaker

  • Student Ambassador

  • Journalist

  • Office Assistant

  • Morning Announcements Helper

  • Classroom Helper

Great Reads Wall
A growing display where we highlight favorite books and student recommendations. It’s a visual celebration of reading and a source of inspiration for fellow readers.
